Big hair, don’t care…

Good hair days aren’t every day, but they should be. The amount of time and effort I put into my hair, you’d think I was Rapunzel?! I am far from it, but I do try and take care of my hair. I don’t apply heat every day, it’s mainly in a bun, and I wash it 1-2x’s a week. It’s just how I roll! When I do wash and style it though, I give it the works. Here are all the products I use in my hair and why:

Shampoo & Conditioner

I used to be a tresemme girl. I really didn’t think much about what kind of shampoo and conditioner I used in my hair because I would just wash it out. Then one day a friend recommended Olaplex. It’s not only a clean shampoo/conditioner, but it also strengthens and moisturizes the ends of your hair. Which I always try and keep healthy. I’ve been using this duo for about a month now and I will say my hair feels thicker, but I don’t know for sure if it’s because of this duo. Either way, I wanted to share what I’m using right now.

Leave-in Conditioner

I’ve been using Redken’s Anti-Snap since I was 16. The first time I ever colored my hair it was so damaged that I needed something to help strengthen my hair strands. I swear this kept my tresses from straight up breaking off. I’ve been loyal to it ever since. The next thing I put in my hair is It’s a 10. I randomly picked this out at Target because I was desperate for something that didn’t break the bank and would moisturize my hair. So far, I am LOVING it! I love these both because I don’t need to use a lot and make my hair feel weighed down by product. They’re both light and feel really good on my hair!

Brush

You’ve heard me talk about this brush before. It works magic on knotty hair. It really brushes right through without tugging on your hair. Tip: Start from your ends and work your way up the hair shaft. Makes for less breakage and less tugging on the hair.

Hair blower

My mom introduced me to this blower and it’s so much easier than having two tools. It gives a smooth blowout and it is way lighter than holding a traditional hair dryer.

No Frizz

I wasn’t convinced that this stuff worked. Then I went to the ball park on the same day I washed my hair (which is a no-no) and this stuff actually works. It’s not 100% fool proof but it definitely helps fight against frizz. HUGE fan, especially when living in SF.

Scrunchies

After all the work of washing, drying, and sealing your hair I’m not going to just ruin it with any old hair tie. I use a silk scrunchy every night. It doesn’t give me a headache at night, leaves my hair with no dents in the morning, and it looks cute in your hair. It’s a win, win, win all the way around!

Let me know what hair care products you are loving! Always looking to up my hair game. Byeeeeeeee!
